Jim Sorrell, owner, started his career in the sewing machine business with  Singer in 1962. After spending twenty years as repairman, inside sales, outside sales and manager of three Singer stores Sew-Rite was started in 1982.

Jims Goal is to provide quality sewing products, good service, sewing machine + parts advise.

How Do I Find My Model Number?

For advice and ordering parts I must have the model number of your sewing machine. If it isn't on a plate attached somwhere, locate the serial number. The serial number is always stamped into the head.

1859-1899 From 1 to 8 digits roughly in order by year

1900-1924 Single Character followed by from 1 to 7 digits

1924-1966 2 Charactors followed by 6 digits.

When you locate the serial number call 1-800-4-Singer. They will give you the model number and the year your machine was made.
